Certifications

We are proud to announce that La Garderie is one of the few Childcare facilities in Harford County who has a Maryland State Department of Education ("MSDE") approved preschool. Our curriculum has been reviewed and approved by Maryland State. Our preschool teachers hold a Bachelor's Degree and or Maryland State Teaching Certificate.

Maryland State requires all Sr. Staff Childcare Employees to obtain a special 90 hour certification in child psychology and curriculum development. La Garderie goes beyond the State's basic requirements: Our preschool teachers are four-year Degreed. All employees receive special training in Emergency Evacuation that is in line with Homeland security Plans, professional development classes, First Aid CPR preparation as well as on - going formal and informal training.

Quality Assurance

Our quality assurance process is put in place to assure and keep our promise to always provide quality childcare in a nurturing and learning environment while building a strong foundation for our children.

The Quality Assurance team makes monthly unannounced visits to formally and independently evaluate the curriculum, equipment, toys, classroom materials and teacher performance.
